We were matched in early October and I made the first request for communication, and within 10 minutes I had already heard back from her.  For the rest of the month we kept talking back and forth over eHarmony or email.  Then in November we started talking over the phone and kept on trying to think of a time when we could actually meet each other.  Well it was Thanksgiving day and I decided that the next day I was going to drive all the way to New Jersey from Wisconsin, a 1,700 mile trip to meet her!  She thought I was crazy.  But there was no way I was going to leave for boot camp without ever meeting her hoping she would still be around when I got done.  The trip was very long and I had a lot of time to think about things like what if I get out there and we both decide that we wouldn't want to pursue this any farther.  So needless to say I was very nervous, as was she!  When I finally got there and got to her door and rang the bell and she came and answered the door, as soon as I saw her in person I knew the trip was worth it! We spent the next 2 days together and had an absolute ball!  It was really hard when I had to leave because we both knew there was something special between us.

A few weeks later I left for boot camp, and she wrote me a letter every day from the day that I left until the day I graduated she hand delivered the last letter.  It was the weekend I graduated from boot camp that I asked her to marry me.  And two months later we made the made the decision to get married!
