After working in New York for several summers, Remco decided to move from Holland to California and a friend recommended he join eHarmony.   I saw his profile just as I was about to take a break from dating.  I'd met some great guys but not 'The One' I was looking for.  Then Remco came along. 

Our first date was at a great little coffee shop in Long Beach where we talked for hours and hours.  He was from Utrecht, Holland, which is a town I have been traveling to for the last 5 years.  As an artist, I travel to Utrecht every summer to do street paintings for cultural events and celebrations there. We must have passed each other on the streets of his home town a hundred times.  His house was only a block away from where I would paint and we share all the same hot spots. Everything he said had me in awe.  We had the most random, but wonderful things in common.  By the second date, we both knew that this was it.  We'd finally found each other!  He is everything I'd always wanted but didn't ever think I would find.  He is so supportive of who I am and what I do.  He started street painting with me around the globe.  Last August we both visited his home town in Holland and we competed in the International Dutch Open Street Painting festival and won a bronze medal.  We just get along so well....I've never had so much fun with someone before.  It's amazing how much we laugh together.  Everything is just so easy.

After 6 months of dating I came home from work one night and he had painted a beautiful street painting of a Cupid in the driveway that read "Will You Marry Me?” It was surrounded with tea light candles and he had Champagne and chocolates.
